A leading Education Technology company located in the Twin Cities with a 50 year track record of serving local schools and districts to leverage technology to better educate students. To achieve its aims the client had created a new division to fundamentally change how student achievement is monitored and fostered through its web-based application.
As a result of the new company division, SkyWater Search was hired to recruit a Software Architect. This was an extremely challenging, highly technical role requiring a uniquely targeted approach to source the ideal candidate. Based on our extensive sector experience we were aware that the talent pool for candidates possessing the exact skill set required for this role was extremely limited.
After an extensive technical in-house discussion we eliminated dozens of potential candidates from the initial search for this position. Ultimately, only two candidates were presented to the client, both matching the exact skill set needed. Both candidates were extremely passive but due to SkyWater’s experience in the sector, we were able to pique the candidates’ interest in this role.
