Project Accountant
SkyWater is partnering with a great engineering company that is looking to hire a project accountant onto their team. The Project Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a year+ of project accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders
Training will be onsite, but after that the role is remote!

Responsibilities
- 1) Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to assess project feasibility, profitability, and risk.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize project financial performance. 2) Budget Management:
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Identify variances and work with project teams to address any discrepancies.
- Prepare regular budget reports for project stakeholders. 3) Cost Control:
- Implement cost control measures to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Review and approve project expenses in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyze cost trends and recommend strategies for cost reduction. 4) Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate financial results and analysis to project teams and management. 5) Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor project cash flow and forecast future cash requirements.
- Coordinate with finance team to ensure sufficient funding for project activities.
- Identify opportunities to optimize cash flow and mitigate cash flow risks..
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience as a Project Accountant
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
