Project Engineer
About Them: Our client is a leading innovator in the production of high-quality grain-based products, dedicated to sustainability and operational excellence. The Madison, WI facility is central operations, and they are seeking a skilled Project Engineer with a maintenance focus to join their team and enhance their maintenance processes and systems.
Position Overview: The Project Engineer – Maintenance Focus will lead and execute projects aimed at improving the maintenance and reliability of equipment and systems at the Madison facility. This role requires a blend of project management, technical expertise, and hands-on problem-solving to ensure optimal performance of our maintenance operations and equipment longevity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee maintenance-related projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource management, and budgeting. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Maintenance Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in maintenance processes, including preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Technical Analysis: Perform detailed technical analyses to diagnose equipment issues, develop solutions, and recommend improvements. Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and process enhancements.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineering staff, and other departments to align maintenance strategies with overall operational objectives.
- System Implementation: Manage the implementation of new maintenance technologies, tools, and systems, including computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for maintenance procedures, project plans, and equipment manuals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project engineering with a focus on maintenance or reliability within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the milling or food processing industry is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance practices and reliability engineering.
- Proficiency with maintenance management software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Capable of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
