Shop Manager
The shop manager role is responsible for overseeing personnel and projects related to fluid power equipment building and testing.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling jobs and labor – coordinate timing with the build process and customer visits
- Equipment calibration- monitor equipment and order calibrations per the schedule
- Scheduling daily labor for all areas of the production shop- Attend production meetings to develop requirements
- Ensure employees are following proper processes and using proper PPE
Desired Skills and Experience
- Hands-on experience with power unit/fluid power machine building
- General shop equipment experience- welding, pipefitter, etc.
- Past Experience troubleshooting technical problems in the field for warranty/service calls and for sales & customers
- Writing bill of material changes (work orders)
