Director Accounting Operations – Fortune 500
We are working with a large global Fortune 500 company in Chicago to help them find their next Director due to internal promotion.
They have a hybrid work environment and an exceptional leadership team focused on doing things the right way, adding value, investing in infrastructure and developing talent and systems.
We’ve placed 4 people here (2 have already been promoted) who all love it for the challenge and the people/leadership.
This role sits in operations and works with the various BU CFO’s so strong communications skills on top of technical accounting is a must. This is a feeder role and they’ve promoted 4 people out of this position into corporate and BU roles so best for someone who is ambitious and looking to grow their career.
Ideal background has a public accounting foundation with large public clients or someone in a large public company today.

Responsibilities
- Own all accounting matters for several business units
- Collaborate across multiple functions (finance and non-finance business partners)
- Lead process improvement initiatives
- Present analysis and accounting research to BU owners
