Engineering Manager
SkyWater is partnering with a new client located in the west metro to help them find their next Engineering Manager! This person will be responsible for overseeing day to day engineering activities and managing a team of 5. The Engineering Manager will be overseeing projects and leading the development and implementation of their products. This role will be heavily involved from conception to completion. This will be a strategic hire for our client as they continue on their successful path. They have a great company culture and are in need of someone that can be a strong leader. We’re looking for someone with 5+ years of management experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering projects from initiation to final delivery.
- Direct the creation and execution of the company's engineering strategy and vision.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanical and electrical engineers.
- Collaborate with company leadership to drive both short-term and long-term business objectives.
- Ensure all engineering projects adhere to relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assign tasks to team members, conduct performance evaluations, and provide mentorship.
- Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering roles (or combination of similar roles).
- 4 + years of experience leading or managing engineers (directly or indirectly).
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.
