Senior Estimator
SkyWater Search Partners is collaborating with a large General Contractor looking to add an accomplished Senior Estimator to their team. If you have experience with commercial estimating software and a wide project variety, read on!
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead and manage a Preconstruction Team for a fast-growing, progressive general contracting company specializing in commercial construction projects, including healthcare, hospitality, community, and residential sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, an ability to manage cost estimations, and a collaborative mindset to drive successful project outcomes.
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a Preconstruction Team.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring efficiency, collaboration, and accountability.
- Managing cost estimations and collaborating with project stakeholders to develop budgets aligned with project goals.
- Facilitating the bidding process, evaluating proposals, and ensuring the selection of appropriate subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintaining and improving the company’s estimating database, utilizing construction management software.
- Participating in owner presentations and ensuring effective communication of project goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365 and commercial estimating software such as Procore, Destini, or Oracle Primavera Cloud (experience with Procore and CMiC is a plus).
- At least 1 year of experience in construction estimating.
- Strong leadership and management skills with an ability to mentor others.
- Detail-oriented, empathetic, and willing to learn.
