Our client is a market-leading company specializing in the design, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of large automation machines. With a 75-person team based in the north metro, this role offers a mix of local office time and travel within the Midwest (50%). You’ll represent high-value automation equipment, ranging from $350K to $1M, engaging with both family-owned businesses and large-scale operations. The company is well-known in the market, driving significant inbound leads, and utilizes Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track opportunities from discovery to close.

The ideal candidate has 2-3+ years of capital equipment sales experience, with desirable backgrounds in automation machinery, packaging equipment, or the lumber industry. Experience working with industrial clients or in agricultural settings is highly valued. Total earnings typically exceed $125K, with top performers reaching $200K+.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to close, focusing on capital equipment sales.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse client base, including industrial and agricultural businesses.
  • Conduct on-site visits and client check-ins throughout the Midwest, traveling twice per month with trips lasting 2-4 days.
  • Leverage Microsoft Dynamics CRM to track and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate forecasting.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to promote products and generate leads.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2-3+ years of experience in capital equipment sales, with a background in automation machinery, packaging equipment, or the lumber industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven success in managing a sales territory and closing high-value deals.
  • Familiarity with industrial or agricultural markets and the ability to engage with clients in those sectors.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both small business owners and large organizations.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics, to manage sales pipelines and customer interactions.
