Title Senior Accountant
Location: Bloomington, MN
Salary: up to 100K + discretionary bonus
SkyWater is partnering with a fast growing Manufacturing and Distribution company that is looking to hire their next Senior Accountant. This role will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, compliance with regulations, and contributing to strategic financial initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of acccounting experience within a mid-sized manufacturing company and a no task to small mentality.

Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights to support decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads.
- Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and systems.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of professional experience, ideally within a mid-sized manufacturing company
- Strong technical skills
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
