Senior Demand Analyst
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Demand Analyst to join our client’s Team in Bedford Park, IL. In this role, you will play a critical part in forecasting demand, optimizing inventory, and driving data-driven decisions to ensure the efficient operation of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and experience in demand planning within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams.
- Inventory Optimization: Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure inventory levels are aligned with demand forecasts, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights to drive decision-making and improve demand planning processes.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, production, and logistics, to align demand planning with business goals.
- Reporting: Create and deliver comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate forecast accuracy, demand trends, and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting models, demand planning tools, and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, customer behavior, and economic factors to anticipate shifts in demand and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Project Management: Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving supply chain performance and overall operational efficiency.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a similar analytical role, preferably in the manufacturing or packaging industry.
- Proficiency in demand planning software and tools
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
