Manufacturing Engineer
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Minneapolis to find a Manufacturing Engineer for their team! The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting manufacturing & assembly issues, leading continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with operators on the floor, troubleshooting equipment issues, partnering with cross-functional engineering teams on manufacturing projects, and much more. Our client is a privately held machinery manufacturer who’s been successfully operating for 100 years in the Twin Cities. Responsibilities
- Identify manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Work with operators on the floor to improve manufacturing processes.
- Create detailed layouts for equipment, workflows, etc.
- Lead new machine installation projects when needed.
- Maintain & update engineering documentation.
- Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, process, or similar engineering role (or combination of roles).
- Experience working in machinery manufacturing, equipment, etc. strongly desired.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).
