SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Minneapolis to find a Manufacturing Engineer for their team! The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting manufacturing & assembly issues, leading continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with operators on the floor, troubleshooting equipment issues, partnering with cross-functional engineering teams on manufacturing projects, and much more. Our client is a privately held machinery manufacturer who’s been successfully operating for 100 years in the Twin Cities. Responsibilities

  • Identify manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Work with operators on the floor to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Create detailed layouts for equipment, workflows, etc.
  • Lead new machine installation projects when needed.
  • Maintain & update engineering documentation.
  • Other projects or responsibilities as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, process, or similar engineering role (or combination of roles).
  • Experience working in machinery manufacturing, equipment, etc. strongly desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).
