Accounting Manager
SkyWater is thrilled to be exclusively partnering with a growing cooperative in the Twin Cities looking to add an Accounting Manager (newly created role!) to their team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior accountant looking to step into their first manager role! Overseeing a small team, you will have the opportunity to cultivate management skills, while still very much being a doer.
Reporting directly to the VP of Finance & Admin, who we’ve known for years, you will be her right-hand person for all things accounting related.

Responsibilities
- Drive monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other areas of the business to establish processes
- Mentor two individuals and help them grow and succeed
- Other ad hoc procedures, as deemed necessary
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in an association or professional services industry
- Direct supervisory/ leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- People first mindset
