Accountant
SkyWater is thrilled to be partnering with an industry leading manufacturing company that is looking to add an Accountant to their team. This role is ideal for a professional who brings strong technical accounting skills, proficiency in SAP, and in-depth knowledge of revenue recognition. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards, while contributing to process improvements and system efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards, including contract reviews and revenue analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are properly recorded in SAP.
- Assist in audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Analyze financial data and present insights or variances to management.
- Assist in developing accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong experience with SAP ERP systems is required.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with ASC 606.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
