SkyWater is partnering with an established, but growing, global private investment firm to add an Associate-Capital Formation to their team.

This person will play a key role in Investor Relations, representing the firm to investors/prospective investors. This role will focus on logistics, current and potential investor research and investor meeting preparation and will work directly with the Director of Capital Formation.

We are looking for an ambitious candidate with excellent follow-through that can continue to develop best practices across client service and fundraising initiatives. 

Experience in specialty finance, consumer finance, and real assets is desired, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform research on current investors, utilizing current in-house CRM as well as subscription databases and other available resources. Create summary information in written form to provide to Relationship Managers.
  • Support data management and reporting using investor CRM system.
  • Assist in responses and follow up diligence requests from prospective investors throughout the fundraising process.
  • Perform prospecting and research on potential investors and new mandates, utilizing a variety of in-house tools as well as external information mining to support outreach.
  • Maintain internal documents across the variety of products.
  • Manage data across multiple systems, including investor diligence portal and internal file storage.
  • Build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with colleagues.
  • Contribute to the production and execution of a best in class annual investor meeting.
  • Ensure that communication and brand building is in compliance and presented in a fashion that supports the culture, mission and values of the firm.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, communications or related field
  • Minimum of two years of experience in in related field such as financial marketing, public relations, private equity, hedge fund, etc.
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate and summarize complex information, both written and orally
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, manage multiple high-priority projects, and transition smoothly as projects stop or start
  • Highly self-motivated and driven to succeed with an insatiable intellectual curiosity
  • Confident, flexible, level-headed and proactive
  • Strong problem-solving skills and “next-step” thinking with the ability to anticipate needs and identify, improve and implement processes; dependable
  • Understanding of a variety of cultures
  • Able to build rapport between organizations, people and cultures
