It really was a pleasure to work with Josh, Ashley & team on our Controller search.  I’m not sure how much you’re privy to – but we were really in a bind with another search firm, and struggling to find the right candidates after nearly two months.

Josh had essentially “cold called” our CFO a while back, and I keep those contacts on the back burner, just in case.  Well, that case had arrived, plus I found it funny that I’ve just moved to the Twin Cities from Chicago, so that connection was unique.  I emailed Josh late on a Thursday afternoon – and by early Friday morning, we were on a Zoom call.  By Tuesday, he had handed the search over to Ashley, and by Wednesday I received the first candidate profile.

It was with the speed and attentiveness to what we were looking for that we quickly connected with our candidate – and were impressed with her experience and thrilled that she was in a position to move as quickly as we were.  Because of that expediency, there was a ton of communication required, and Ashley was up for it all (even through the holiday season) – email, text – she was so responsive.

So to put it succinctly, my first experience with SkyWater may have been on a whim (and out of frustration), but it certainly won’t be my last.  I’m super appreciative of the support throughout the process, and thrilled of the outcome.  Our new hire started this week, and is off to a great start.

Stephanie has been fantastic to work with. A few months ago, we had an opening for the FP&A Manager role and an opening in the Senior Accountant role. Stephanie was able to fill the FP&A Manager role right away with a fantastic hire, and then, despite the market being really difficult to navigate in the accounting space, we feel very good about our new hire joining our team this past Monday. Stephanie has always been very honest about market conditions, her perspective on our roles, the candidates’ fit, etc. I have only positive things to say about my experiences working with her.

Two thumbs up for Nicole.  She was diligent, had great follow-through and kept all of us well informed along the way.  We struck out on a couple candidates but she was persistent and kept things going.

Our new employee started yesterday and is really enthusiastic and motivated. I am glad we chose to work with Matt and Skywater. Matt is professional and trustworthy and I would certainly recommend him to others.

Tom is great. He is very responsive and spends time understanding the needs and makes appropriate adjustments as we work on each candidate. I am happy with the overall experience.

Erin was a pleasure to work with. She quickly understood the job profile and found a great group of candidates for us to speak to. Once we knew we wanted to move forward with our top candidate, she helped us to quickly confirm his interest and successfully move to an acceptance. I want to also give Erin credit for being very flexible with our hiring process, as there were two of us on the CPM side involved from the beginning with various scheduling conflicts, and she patiently helped us navigate scheduling and follow-ups with the candidates, and always provided thoughtful recaps.

Tom was great. He clearly put a lot of energy behind finding us good candidates quickly. He was very responsive and the communication was always very clear. Tom was also very easy to work with.

Our experience with Nicole was great. We had good candidates to talk with and excited about the one we elected to move forward with. Time will tell the true value, but we are excited to have our new employee on board.
