Assistant Controller
Location: Minnetonka, MN
Schedule: Hybrid, onsite 3 days a week

SkyWater is partnering with a leader in the biotech industry, who is looking to hire an Assistant Controller.
The Assistant Controller will have 2 direct reports (8 indirect) in the accounting department, will manage the general ledger, month end close, reporting and internal controls process.

Responsibilities
- Lead the financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Oversee general accounting operations, including accounts payable and reconciliations.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls in compliance with industry regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial operations through process improvements and automation.
- Support cash management and treasury-related activities.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management roles.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience in a public company and familiarity with SOX compliance is a plus.
