SkyWater Search Partners is collaborating with a large manufacturing firm looking to add an Engineer to deliver a wide variety of capital projects. 

About the Role:
An opening for a Civil Engineer is available to join a dynamic engineering team. In this role, vital contributions to project management and expert engineering support will be made. Responsibilities will include driving machine rebuilds, alterations, building expansions, and various improvement initiatives, providing an excellent opportunity to lead the design and execution of impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capital projects will be led from inception to completion, encompassing pre-feasibility studies, conceptual design, execution planning, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out.
  • Project scope will be defined, detailed schedules developed, and cost estimates prepared to support budgeting processes.
  • Technical guidance and project management oversight will be provided for the design, installation, and maintenance of plant systems.
  • Collaboration with teams will be facilitated to troubleshoot operational and maintenance challenges.
  • Current industry trends and advancements will be monitored by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging with professional organizations.
  • Hydro dam safety inspection reports and annual Dam Safety Surveillance Monitoring Plans will be prepared and submitted to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
  • Experience in civil engineering within an industrial setting is preferred, with demonstrated project management and structural design skills; entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with pulp and paper processes, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and AutoCAD, is a plus.
