Position Overview:
SkyWater Search Partners is leading the search for a Compensation Manager for a rapidly growing global manufacturer. This newly created role will play a key part in designing, administering, and executing compensation plans that attract, retain, and motivate talent. As part of the Total Rewards team, the Compensation Manager will collaborate with the Head of Total Rewards, HR leaders, and business leaders to ensure compensation strategies align with the organization’s Total Rewards philosophy and business goals.
This role requires an onsite presence with flexible work options, a competitive compensation package (including short- and long-term incentives), and excellent benefits.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, administration, and execution of base pay programs and incentive plans (short and long-term), ensuring accurate and timely implementation each fiscal period. This includes overseeing documentation, communication, internal controls, and reporting, with a focus on broad-based compensation and, ideally, some sales incentive plan experience.
  • Provide expert consultation to global leaders on a variety of compensation activities, including market analysis for new roles, promotions, retention strategies, and compensation best practices.
  • Develop equitable, data-driven compensation policies and ensure effective communication and implementation across the business.
  • Manage the annual and off-cycle compensation planning process, as well as other enterprise-wide compensation initiatives.
  • Ensure all compensation programs, policies, and procedures comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust compensation programs to maintain peak competitiveness in the market, recommending modifications as necessary.
  • Align business objectives with HR strategies and ensure policies are executed effectively through strategic plans and actions.
  • Lead change management initiatives related to compensation programs.
  • Coach and develop team members, communicate business objectives and project expectations, and oversee the progress of key initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in compensation, ideally for a public company
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills and expertise with systems, particularly advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to act as a subject matter expert, influencing all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-growth environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, particularly in complex or ambiguous situations.
  • Strong integrity, customer orientation, and time management skills.
