Construction Controller – Growing Private Company | Chicagoland Area
I am partnered with a thriving construction company in Chicago’s SW suburbs.
They are seeking a Construction Controller to join their team. This company is known for its close-knit, family-oriented culture, where employees enjoy a fun, collaborative atmosphere. This critical role will oversee financial reporting and lead cost control initiatives, driving financial success for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting efforts, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all construction projects
- Drive cost control initiatives to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Partner with project teams to provide financial oversight and ensure alignment with goals
- Oversee month-end close processes and manage FP&A functions
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 8+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates from construction or manufacturing environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is a plus
- Proven expertise in construction accounting, including financial management for multiple projects
- Previous experience as a project accountant is highly beneficial
- Must be local to Illinois or willing to relocate.
