SkyWater Search is partnering with a fast-paced, growing public company looking to professionalize the HR function by hiring an HR leader who is equally strategic and hands-on. We are prioritizing candidates who have experience in a large company setting, combined with a proven ability to lead in a rapidly scaling, small or midsize company. This person will lead everything from talent acquisition strategy, talent development, HR operations, culture building, and will serve as a strategic advisor to the leadership team.

This is an in-person role, so candidates must be local to the Twin Cities and willing to work primarily in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive human capital strategy aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to attract and retain top talent.
  • Design and implement performance management systems that promote employee growth and accountability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, fostering open communication and resolving workplace concerns effectively.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning by creating professional development programs and career pathways.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including feedback processes, recognition programs, and wellness efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing people strategies that drive business success.
  • Expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, benefits administration, and payroll systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
