.We are seeking a forward-thinking Director of Operations with a strong track record in driving transformational change across complex manufacturing environments. This role will lead all aspects of daily operations, with a particular focus on building systems, improving processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational best practices. You are energized by solving problems, streamlining workflows, and coaching teams to deliver exceptional results in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and continuously improve operations across production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and supply chain.
  • Build a performance-driven culture rooted in accountability, operational discipline, and data-based decision-making.
  • Lead kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other CI initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and optimize efficiency.
  • Establish and manage KPIs to track performance, identify trends, and proactively address operational issues.
  • Align plant operations with broader business objectives, working closely with Finance, HR, Engineering, and Customer Service.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team with an emphasis on problem-solving, lean thinking, and leadership development.
  • Support capacity planning, investment strategies, and process automation to scale operations and support growth.
  • Champion workplace safety and regulatory compliance as foundational operational principles.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA or relevant graduate degree is a plus).
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with a strong focus on continuous improvement and process transformation.
  • Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, or similar frameworks in a high-complexity production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead operational turnarounds or large-scale improvement initiatives.
  • Skilled at leading teams, building systems, and managing change in both stable and growth-stage settings.
  • Strong communication and leadership presence with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Industry background is flexible; experience in precision manufacturing, industrial products, or other regulated environments is beneficial but not required.
