Position Summary:
The EHS Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role will promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, aiming to minimize risks and enhance the well-being of all employees.

 

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; develop corrective and preventive measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees, ensuring understanding and compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Emergency Response: Develop and lead emergency response procedures, ensuring that employees are well-prepared to respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor EHS performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to enhance safety and environmental performance.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role, in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and influence others effectively.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) are a plus.
