SkyWater Search Partners is collaborating with a national firm hoping to add an experienced Electrical Designer to their growing team. 

An exciting opportunity exists for an individual with a proactive mindset to join a growing team as an Electrical Designer. This position involves delivering high-quality electrical system design across various sectors such as commercial, healthcare, and higher education. The role is part of a strategic initiative aimed at growing existing markets and expanding nationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys.
  • Prepare concept, schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Perform code research and ensure the incorporation of applicable requirements into designs.
  • Conduct material research and compile necessary project data.
  • Prepare project specifications.
  • Coordinate work and communicate with the project team and consultants.
  • Review shop drawings, address, and track RFIs.
  • Attend construction meetings and make periodic site visits.
  • Update and maintain punch lists as needed.
  • Archive and maintain electronic project files.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and other project-related correspondence.
  • Attend project meetings.
  • Support the creation, development, and promotion of a diverse workforce, fostering an inclusive environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in the design and construction of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • EIT or PE certification is a plus, LEED AP certification is also beneficial.
  • Experience with projects in education, corporate/commercial offices, state and local government sectors; hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in creating construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within project budgets and schedules.

Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000 (dependent on experience).
