SkyWater Search is excited to partner with a growing, well-established construction and industrial services company as we seek a skilled, relationship-driven HR Manager to support operations across two regions. This is a visible and hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced HR generalist who thrives in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is a strategic partner who can build trust across all levels of the organization, drive people initiatives that align with business goals, and bring practical solutions to day-to-day challenges in employee relations, compliance, and leadership development.

  • Location: On-site in the South Metro Twin Cities

  • Travel: Monthly travel to support regional teams and projects

Responsibilities

-Serve as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees, offering support on policies, employee development, and performance management -Create a positive employee experience through proactive engagement and consistent communication -Lead conflict resolution efforts, conduct investigations, and guide leaders through performance improvement discussions -Manage onboarding and ensure compliance with new hire documentation and internal processes -Oversee benefit administration support, leave of absence coordination (FMLA/STD), and HRIS record management -Collaborate closely with corporate HR teams on compliance, affirmative action, and broader HR strategy

Desired Skills and Experience

-10+ years of broad-based HR experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or a field-based workforce -Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience) -SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred (or the ability to obtain) -A collaborative, empathetic approach to building relationships and navigating change -Strong knowledge of employment law, regulatory compliance, and HR best practices -Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
