We are working with a $1b+ Investment firm to find an Investment Operations Analyst to join their team.

This person will support all aspects of the firm’s portfolio management systems (Moxy, APX, FactSet and GIPS).  This person will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with Data Management, Portfolio Managers and Client Service teams at the firm. 

We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail and follow-through with excellent communication skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Primary user of firm’s portfolio management systems and eventual subject matter expert.
  • Set-up new accounts in the firm’s portfolio management systems.
  • Perform quarterly billing of client accounts.
  • Various account and portfolio audits on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Composite analytics and portfolio analytics with quarterly reporting at the firm and composite level.
  • Ongoing Composite maintenance.
  • Preparation of client reports that require attribution and/or custom work using FactSet or other firm tools.
  • Assist in managing pre and post-trade activities including, but not limited to, security set-up, trade set-up, drift reports and maintaining the trade blotter.
  • Liaison with firm’s portfolio management and equity research software vendors.
  • Populate institutional databases.
  • Assist with firm Requests for Proposals.
  • Work closely with the CCO and COO assessing that areas of responsibility are in compliance with firm and regulatory policies.
  • Training other associates in key areas of responsibilities in order to have redundancy in place.
  • Ad hoc portfolio/composite assignments.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to listen well with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills with a command of MS office products especially excel.
  • Process driven and results oriented working well independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization and time management skills and a proven drive to consistently follow-through.
  • Ability to produce accurate work in a timely fashion under the pressure of deadlines.
  • A desire to continually be a student of the investment management industry.
