Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage quality assurance teams across multiple sites, ensuring uniformity in quality standards, processes, and policies. Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and additional standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across welding, machining, and fabrication processes. Use tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and root cause analysis to identify and eliminate inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Manage supplier quality, conduct vendor assessments, and ensure the delivery of high-quality materials that meet specifications. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain high supplier standards.
- Identify, develop, and implement quality-related training programs for internal teams. Monitor the effectiveness of training and ensure staff proficiency in quality standards, inspection techniques, and quality control tools.
- Oversee the inspection of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods. Ensure that all products meet or exceed customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise internal quality audits, compile results, and present findings in quarterly management reviews. Ensure that audits are completed on time and that corrective actions are implemented where necessary.
- Control and approve procedures for managing non-conforming materials, investigate root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions (RCCA, CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Develop, track, and report on quality-related KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement. Communicate progress and key findings to the management team on a regular basis.
- Maintain and manage quality documentation systems, ensuring all records, audit results, and corrective actions are properly documented and accessible.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, manage customer complaints, and resolve quality-related issues in a timely and professional manner. Provide regular updates to senior management on quality performance and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001 Auditor) are preferred.
- At least 5 years of combined experience in quality engineering and manufacturing within a metal fabrication environment, with hands-on experience in welding and machining processes.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, including managing teams across multiple sites.
