Overview of Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services.
- Create and execute sourcing strategies that enhance cost-effectiveness, mitigate risks, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and take appropriate corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Lead demand forecasting, production scheduling, and capacity planning to balance production needs
- Leverage advanced planning tools and ERP systems to optimize planning processes.
- Oversee inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained for uninterrupted operations.
- Implement best practices in inventory control to minimize waste and reduce holding costs.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Manage logistics operations for both domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely delivery and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight carriers, and distribution centers to optimize delivery schedules, reduce lead times, and improve overall efficiency.
- Continuously review and enhance logistics strategies to ensure cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively identify and manage risks related to suppliers, material shortages, and transportation delays.
- Lead, mentor, and support the growth of a high-performing supply chain team.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encourage professional development, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
- More of generalist supply chain background is ideal.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, with demonstrated expertise in procurement, planning, inventory, and distribution.
