In this role, you’ll handle preventive maintenance, advise on both new and existing equipment and facility needs, ensure compliance with electrical and building code requirements, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. You’ll also take charge of projects, while continuing to apply your skills in hands-on work.

This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, with some after-hours and weekend on-call duty when needed. Highlights of Your Role

  • Ensure compliance with electrical and building codes, including but not limited to Intertek/UL standards.
  • Recommend preventive maintenance strategies and solutions to address issues, enhancing equipment and facility effectiveness to ensure safety, reduce downtime, and boost efficiency and quality.
  • Research and evaluate potential components, making recommendations to maintain high performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Contribute to project management for building and machine projects; provide electrical expertise to facilities and external contractors, including those in HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and control systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally, essential for all aspects of this position. Mentor and train others to promote team success.

You’re a Great Fit if You Have

  • Strong mechanical knowledge in areas like pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, controls, sensors, and PLCs.
  • An associate degree in electronics (or a related field) or equivalent experience, along with five or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams.
  • Experience in building and managing control panels, with the ability to supervise electrical apprentice activities.
  • A valid North Dakota Master Electrician License or the ability to obtain one.
