Construction Controller – Growing Private Company | Chicagoland Area
I am partnered with a thriving construction company in Chicago’s SW suburbs. They are seeking a Construction Controller to join their team. This company is known for its close-knit, family-oriented culture, where employees enjoy a fun, collaborative atmosphere. This critical role will oversee financial reporting and lead cost control initiatives, driving financial success for the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead financial reporting efforts, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all construction projects
Drive cost control initiatives to maximize efficiency and profitability
Partner with project teams to provide financial oversight and ensure alignment with goals
Oversee month-end close processes and manage FP&A functions
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
8+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference for candidates from construction or manufacturing environments
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification is a plus
Proven expertise in construction accounting, including financial management for multiple projects
Previous experience as a project accountant is highly beneficial
