The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is a key leadership position for our client’s renewable energy facility. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility operations and maintenance within a manufacturing plant. This role ensures that equipment, infrastructure, and physical assets are maintained to support efficient manufacturing processes, compliance with safety standards, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Facility Maintenance & Management:
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all facility equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades for the plant and facilities.
  • Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical infrastructure systems. Team Leadership:
  • Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Equipment Management:
  • Ensure proper operation, repair, and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve equipment-related issues promptly. Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards for safety and environmental health.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards. Vendor & Budget Management:
  • Source and manage external vendors for facility services, repairs, and supplies.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations. Strategic Planning:
  • Drive improvements in facility efficiency and sustainability through innovative solutions.
  • Plan for future facility needs, including expansion or modernization projects, in alignment with company growth goals.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance leadership, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
  • Proficient in computer systems, including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance
  • Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
