Maintenance and Facilities Manager
The Maintenance and Facilities Manager is a key leadership position for our client’s renewable energy facility. They are responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility operations and maintenance within a manufacturing plant. This role ensures that equipment, infrastructure, and physical assets are maintained to support efficient manufacturing processes, compliance with safety standards, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance & Management:
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all facility equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades for the plant and facilities.
- Manage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other critical infrastructure systems. Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Equipment Management:
- Ensure proper operation, repair, and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve equipment-related issues promptly. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards for safety and environmental health.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards. Vendor & Budget Management:
- Source and manage external vendors for facility services, repairs, and supplies.
- Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations. Strategic Planning:
- Drive improvements in facility efficiency and sustainability through innovative solutions.
- Plan for future facility needs, including expansion or modernization projects, in alignment with company growth goals.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or maintenance leadership, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Proficient in computer systems, including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance
- Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
