Manufacturing Engineering Manager
SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in the Sioux Falls area who’s looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineering Manager! The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee the manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and tooling functions while leading a team of 30 direct reports (mix of engineers & technicians). This person will also be responsible for resolving manufacturing line issues, looking for efficiencies & cost-savings opportunities, partnering with cross-functional managers & plant leadership on strategic initiatives, supporting new product development launches, and much more. We’re looking for an experienced manufacturing engineer with a background in the heavy machinery space (ag equipment, construction machinery, etc.) and ideally someone who has experience leading teams. Responsibilities
- Lead the manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and tooling functions.
- Mentor & develop team members and distribute projects/responsibilities.
- Look for manufacturing process efficiencies and cost-savings opportunities.
- Oversee new product development launches and equipment installations.
- Troubleshoot & resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of manufacturing, process, or similar engineering experience (or combination of experience).
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading team members (directly or indirectly).
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize responsibilities and work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal).
