Pr. Mechanical Engineer
As a Pr. Mechanical Engineer specializing in custom automation and machine design for the medical device industry, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex, high-precision systems. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge automation solutions tailored to meet the needs of clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of project concepts and provide expert consultation on design specifications, risk management, and project execution during all phases.
- Direct the creation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and related documentation, ensuring they meet relevant regulations
- Conduct design reviews and provide critical feedback to optimize product designs and development processes.
- Ensure compliance with machine safety standards, regulatory guidelines, and quality objectives.
- Contribute to technical aspects of customer interactions, supporting both sales and business development teams with engineering expertise.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities to implement new engineering methods and best practices that align with business goals.
- Design, develop, and optimize custom automation systems, robotic solutions, and machinery for the medical device manufacturing environment.
- Provide technical expertise in the selection of materials, components, services and manufacturing processes
- Lead quoting process on the front end of the project alongside the PM’s
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience, or a related two-year post-high school diploma/certificate with a minimum of 15 years of experience in custom automation and machine design.
