Project Engineer

Based in Vadnais Heights, MN, the company is seeking a Project Engineer to provide proposal and design support, assist with project management, and contribute to product development and enhancement efforts.
Job Summary & Responsibilities: The Project Engineer will provide engineering support throughout the organization. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing wastewater process engineering tasks to complete equipment and process designs.
- Developing project specifications, submittals, and related documentation, including plan and detail drawings for assigned projects.
- Troubleshooting and monitoring the performance of existing equipment installations, identifying solutions and areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with sales, vendors, and customers to develop innovative solutions.
- Occasional travel and fieldwork for project start-up or product development activities (less than 10% of the time).
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to overall team growth.
- Performing additional tasks as required.
This role will be a key contributor to both the sales and operations teams, supporting engineering efforts across departments. The Project Engineer will assist with engineering initiatives from proposal stages through warranty and customer support and serve as an internal expert on key products.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in wastewater treatment process design, with a preference for lagoon-based systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. AutoCAD experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience in data and document management.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting engineering initiatives from concept through execution.
- Ability to collaborate across departments to drive growth and improve efficiencies.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to analyze and recommend mechanical design and fabrication solutions for various engineering needs.
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment, including PD blowers, controls, and other components commonly associated with wastewater treatment processes.
