Construction Project Executive

Position Overview

In this key role, you will provide leadership and guidance to our Project Management team, focusing on project coordination, operational excellence, and team growth. You will mentor and support Project Managers and Engineers, driving quality and success across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop the project management and engineering teams, ensuring effective hiring, mentoring, and support.
  • Inspire your team to deliver outstanding client service while maintaining profitability.
  • Monitor project workloads to ensure optimal performance.
  • Promote the full range of our services to clients, enhancing overall value.
  • Guide project teams through all phases, from pre-construction to post-construction services.
  • Identify and address potential financial challenges proactively.
  • Oversee internal project financial management and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Manage contingency processes effectively.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures that align with our goals.
  • Participate in the RFP process across various sectors to secure new work.
  • Represent the company professionally in interactions with clients, architects, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Cover project hours through direct project management as needed.
  • Foster a safe work environment by promoting safety practices and conducting necessary assessments.
  • Attend industry events to enhance our visibility and reputation.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field (experience may substitute for a degree).

Certifications:

  • LEED Accreditation preferred, but not mandatory.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of project management experience in commercial construction or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and ADA regulations.
  • Over five years of experience leading high-performing teams.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
  • Familiarity with Sage Estimating Software, Viewpoint Software, and Procore.

Professional Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with a history of coaching and developing teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with employees and clients.
  • Ability to make informed decisions and navigate complex issues effectively.
