SkyWater Search Partners is collaborating with a large builder and developer looking to add a talented Project Manager to their growing team. 

Company Overview:
A top 25 builder, developer, and EPC is seeking to redefine the built environment across diverse markets, including sports, renewable energy, data centers, and healthcare. A lasting positive impact is being pursued.

Location: St. Paul, MN

Position Summary:
The Project Manager position is available to oversee the financial health of projects, ensuring effective management of budgets, subcontracts, and supplier relationships. A strategic thinker with attention to detail is sought to uphold excellence in construction management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Project financial projections and equipment projections will be managed; accurate allocation of estimates into the financial system will be ensured.
  • Budget Management: Cost codes will be identified, invoices will be approved, and budgetary decisions will be made to maintain project profitability.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Monthly owner billings will be prepared and submitted; collaboration with Accounting for timely payments will be facilitated.
  • Contract Administration: Contract buyouts will be managed, and supplier relationships will be maintained; contract compliance and execution of change orders will be overseen.
  • Team Leadership: Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers will be led and mentored; career development will be facilitated, and performance feedback will be provided.
  • Client Liaison: The main point of contact for owners and on-site representatives will be served; site concerns will be resolved, and strong relationships will be built for future opportunities.
  • Quality and Compliance Management: Adherence to safety, risk management, and compliance standards will be ensured throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Schedule Management: Project schedules and budgets will be maintained until completion, with all milestones being ensured.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil or Architectural Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 6 years of construction management or related experience is required, with a proven track record of managing complex projects from development to closeout.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software is required; strong analytical skills are needed.
  • An understanding of construction law and industry best practices is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and active listening skills are necessary, with the ability to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel overnight up to 10-15% are required.
