Quality Manager
We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and control initiatives at our client’s Minneapolis, Minnesota facility. This critical role will oversee quality systems, ensure compliance with industry standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams to deliver superior products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Quality Systems Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain ISO-certified quality management systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits to assess system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, fostering professional growth and engagement.
- Provide training and support to cross-functional teams on quality standards, tools, and processes. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and optimize processes. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries, audits, and inspections by customers or regulatory agencies.
- Drive customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and delivering high-quality products consistently. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on quality performance to leadership and stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in manufacturing or specialty materials industries.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is required
- CAPA experience
- Experience with Quality Management Systems
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Proficiency in quality tools and systems, including SPC, FMEA, and CAPA processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
