RPG iSeries Developer
We are partnering with a client of ours in the Insurance industry to help them find an RPG iSeries developer.
The position focuses on designing, developing, and supporting iSeries code for various applications. You will work closely with teams across departments to gather requirements and create application specifications. Responsibilities include reviewing code, conducting unit tests, and working with team members on development and QA tasks. The role also involves establishing and maintaining development standards, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth application performance. The ideal candidate has experience in delivering complex systems, expertise in iSeries programming languages like RPG, CL, SQL, COBOL, and Java.
This position is located in SW Chicago and this person NEEDS to be IN OFFICE 2-3 days a week.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar) - 5+ years of experience with RPG/iSeries - Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally - NEED to be able to commute to SW Chicago 2-3 days a week - CANNOT require sponsorship.
