Senior Electrical Estimator
SkyWater is collaborating with a large local mechanical and electrical contractor hoping to add an accomplished Senior Electrical Estimator to their growing team.
They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to oversee and prepare project estimates, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality control throughout the estimating process. This role will support existing clients and play a key part in building new business relationships with clients, engineers, architects, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Align with the company’s vision and objectives within the Electrical Department.
- Utilize industry-leading estimating software and best practices to generate precise project estimates and budgets.
- Foster strong relationships with clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities.
- Track costs against estimates to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Support procurement processes and subcontractor negotiations, ensuring timely project delivery.
- Work closely with project teams during hand-off and maintain communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure project managers are aware of key project assumptions and specifications.
- Safeguard the company’s interests during contract discussions with clients and vendors.
- Stay informed on tax requirements and market trends to minimize cost increases and procurement delays.
- Collaborate across departments to create competitive and comprehensive bid proposals.
Skills and Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in electrical estimating, particularly in commercial and industrial projects.
- Familiarity with bidding software, ideally Accubid and/or EBM.
