Responsibilities

  • Investor Relations Support:
  • Assist in the preparation of investor presentations, earnings script calls, and investor Q&A for quarterly earnings releases.
  • Ensure financial communications to investors are accurate and compliant with reporting standards. M&A and Acquisitions Support:
  • Provide support for M&A activities, including purchase accounting and fair value valuation on acquisitions.
  • Ensure proper integration of financial reporting for new acquisitions. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Prepare and deliver financial reporting to key stakeholders, including accounting leadership, private equity owners, rating agencies, and other business partners.
  • Prepare the company’s annual and quarterly 10-K/10-Q equivalent financial reports, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations, GAAP, and relevant disclosure requirements.
  • Coordinate and prepare supporting documentation for quarterly and annual filings, including 10-K/10-Q, earnings releases, and investor relations communications. Audit and External Auditor Coordination:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
  • Provide the auditors with necessary supporting documentation and coordinate service delivery to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Prepare and maintain internal controls documentation across the accounting function to support audit and compliance processes. Technical Accounting:
  • Support technical accounting research on complex transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Draft accounting position papers and memos for complex financial reporting matters.
  • Perform quarterly and annual goodwill impairment analysis and prepare the corresponding accounting position memos. Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest accounting standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in financial reporting.
  • Assist in the development of accounting policies and procedures as needed. Collaboration Across Teams:
  • Interface with various departments, including finance leadership, external public accountants, external tax firms, internal legal teams, and investor relations, to ensure alignment and consistency in financial reporting processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and technical accounting. Ideal candidate will have a CPA and roots in Public Accounting.
  • Proven experience with SEC reporting regulations and US GAAP.
  • Strong proficiency in technical accounting and financial reporting requirements, including SEC filings (10-K/10-Q), MD&A, and earnings releases.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulae).
  • Experience with financial reporting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar platforms).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with senior leadership.
