Senior Labview Developer

The Labview Developer will design program architectures and state machines to measure and test materials and products on custom, complex test benches. This role involves coding and debugging custom testing programs, collaborating on the specification of I/O and control hardware components, selecting appropriate sensing hardware, managing data storage, and writing software to operate machinery effectively. The ideal candidate should have a high level of proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: LabVIEW, TestStand, C, and Ladder Logic. 

This is the type of development role where you will need to understand the inner workings, end application, and the physics involved in what you are programming and controlling. 

We are ideally looking for a candidate with 5-15+ years of Labview and Teststand programming experience, but have the ability to consider candidates with less experience, as well as Senior/Principal level. 

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a performance bonus based on both company and individual performance. 

This is an on-site role in the Chicago suburbs that is eligible for relocation

Responsibilities

  • Design complex code in Labview and Teststand from scratch to interface with data acquisition systems
  • Edit, troubleshoot, and debug existing code
  • Design program architectures and state machines to measure and test materials and products on custom, complex test equipment and test benches.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team and other members of production
  • Save and manage databases and results in proper systems such as SQL, TDMS, CSV and Microsoft Access

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in applicable field
  • Ability to program and write code in Labview from scratch
  • CLA, CLD, or CLAD is nice to have
  • Ability to program and write code in Teststand
  • CTD or CTA is nice to have
  • Ability to work on site, flexible hours are available within general daytime hours
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
