Our client is a quickly growing and well established Manufacturing company located in Winsted, MN.  To expand their reach, they are looking for ta talented Senior Manufacturing Engineers to support their efforts in growing their capacity to accommodate new clients.  The role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products. The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize production systems while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement: Analyze and enhance manufacturing processes to boost productivity, reduce waste, and optimize costs.
  • Equipment and Tooling: Design, procure, and maintain tools, fixtures, and equipment required for production.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Apply and sustain lean manufacturing principles, including Six Sigma and 5S methodologies.
  • New Product Introduction: Work with design, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into the manufacturing process.
  • Documentation: Create and update work instructions, process documentation, and technical drawings.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose and resolve manufacturing issues, implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Compliance: Ensure all processes adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Training and Support: Train production teams on new equipment, tools, or processes.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
