Technical Sales Manager (Western US)
Our client is a local, privately held manufacturer of plastics assembly capital equipment. They are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join their team. This person will be tasked with hunting new business, and working with existing clients within the Western US territory
Their product lines cover the a multitude of applications around plastic assembly and testing systems. Industries that they are focused on are injection molding, medical device & aerospace.
They are looking for candidates that have a technical sales background(technical degree preferred) of selling automation products into OEM’s. Regional flight travel will be required(about 1 week per month). This will be a hunting role focused heavily on new business development with higher commission percentage paid on new clients.
All candidates with technical sales backgrounds within manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Build new sales pipeline with research of target markets Conduct full sales cycle activities and close large figure, complex deals Work with both internal and external engineering teams to determine best options of equipment and automation sales Travel within Western US to meet with prospective and existing clients
Desired Skills and Experience
4+ years of technical sales experience within a territory 4 year engineering degree strongly preferred Ability to read prints and work with engineering teams to create custom equipment needs for clients Must be able to regularly be in office(Just outside of suburbs to the west)
